The 3 things I LOVE to DO!!

One of the best things I Love to do is to Listen to MUSIC!! Music is so coool even singing to it. The second is to Read. Reading the MOST COOLEST THING TO DO EVER, it can lead you to an great future or maybe not. Now it is time for the last thing I REALLY LOOOVEE to do and it is doing this. Writing on my blog and giving feedback to other people that have blogs too.

What are your favorite things to do???? 

But the biggest thing that I Love to do is too type and to communicate with other people!!

My First Senior Prize giving

Well throughout all this year we had celebrated a great end with Prizegiving. We had, Items, Kapa Haka performances and receiving prizes. Did you know that I was one of the first persons to get a prize from the Year 5’s.

We were the first age group to perform to. Getting onto the stage I started to shake and shiver. Finally we had finished our Item. Next on it was the year 6’s they had the best Item that I have ever seen. When they first had received their prizes they had called out the sports awards for the Primary.  

I was so surprised that they had called out my name for representing our school in Rugby and Netball. My friends have had this certificate too. Then when all of our years 5 to 8’s had finished, at the end we had sang our school song.

As our Prize Giving had ended I had ran to my mum and showed her all my Awards. Saying “ Good work Sela keep working hard at school, School first mucking around second” My mum said to me with a smile on her face.

Perimeter

What is Perimeter?? Perimeter is telling how far the outside of a shape is. Well on this site I have learnt so many things about Perimeter. Here is a picture that I did on this site.

Symmetry

I REALLY WANT TO BE AN AMBASSADOR FOR SCHOOL!!

One of the reasons I want to to be an Ambassador is to talk to very important people including teachers around the world. Talking to people is what I like doing!! Learning, Creating and Sharing is what I LOVE to do, mostly sharing my work  with the world. The most amazing thing that I think I like doing is to write and read. Mostly Reading is the top of things I enjoy!

Now its time to tell you about my Learning and Creating. Learning new things this year and last year has been so different, using Netbooks. These past few weeks and terms I have enjoyed making this movie and putting it on my blog. I have created it on IMovie.  

These past few terms we have had Extension, and in Extension we had to make Thai Fish cakes. We learnt a new recipe, then we created it and at the end we shared it with the world!! At school I have learnt so many things!! So many things I say. In our class we have created learnt and shared many movies. This Link is to my movie that me and my group made. We also learnt new skills by making this movie. We created it using IMovie and then Sharing it with the world on our blog and on PENN.

Every Term I always start with a ANIMATION.Well did you know that this term I am finishing off so many things even pictures that need drawing? Here is a link to My Toy Story Animation.

I think being an Ambassador is giving me an opportunity to learn how to speak clearer to others and will help me in the future by teaching me new skills. That is all I really want to be an Ambassador.

My 2012 Manaiakalani Reflection

Wow this year has been so AMAZING! What I have really enjoyed about being in yr 5 was sharing my work with the world and learning to write Narratives. The best that happened this year was Making movies and sharing it with the world.

From the start of the year I think that learning, creating and sharing with the world has been the BEST THING TO DO!! My goals for next year are to always answer my Glossary test for Maths, and to speak clearly to my Teacher and visitors.

Throughout this year I think that Learning, Sharing and Creating my work has been so coooool. I think that learning this year has been so amazing, I have learnt different at school with many ways. Like learning on, Ipads, Tablets, Ipods, Netbooks and even more.

I don't really want to go from year 5 but still I need to move on:(

Theses past few weeks we have  great Swimming sessions, every week on Wednesdays in the mornings at 9:00 am. I have always been looking forward to this day. At school the pool is taken good care of, by Mr Garth Jacobsen and Mr Malloy.


I would love to say thank you to Watersafe Auckland for giving us this opportunity to have Pools in Schoolz. We wouldn’t be doing this if you hadn’t made this happen. Watersafe Auckland And Chris you have been so amazing.  Right now we wouldn’t have learnt all these amazing things in the pool.
