Carlos Balderas

Carlos was born on 14th of August 1996 in Santa Maria California. He was qualified to compete in the 2016 Rio Olympics for USA. He was the first child in his family that was born in America. His grandfather was the first in his family that came to the United States. He left his Wife and family members in Oaxaca Mexico to work in strawberry fields. After earning enough money, he eventually saved it all up to bring the rest of his family to America. While growing up in Santa Maria, Carlos was first taken to a boxing gym for punishment. He was punished for fighting with his friends in the streets and getting suspended from school. Carlos was coached by his Xenon Balderas and his uncle David. Carlos then fought in the 2015 Pan American Games that was held in Toronto Ontario, Canada, Carlos first boxed in the men's lightweight event. He then recieved a bye to the quarter finals and was defeated by Lindolfo Delgado of Mexico.

The Olympic Closing Ceremony

The Olympics is over! As the London Olympics was over the whole world celebrated, with a Closing Ceremony. While many people were there at the stadium half of the country watched it LIVE on T.V.

Watching all the Athletes walk into the stadium I enjoyed how my four favourite countries happily walked in. My four favourite Countries are: Jamaica, New Zealand, Australia and Tonga. Tonga is where my Mum and Family come from.

Loving how so many people celebrated there at the Stadium mostly Celebrities. Did you enjoy the Olympics this year? I did. I cant til the next Olympics Closing Ceremony In Rio 2016.

Olympic Volleyball

The name of the sport that Im doing is Volleyball.

Participant,Teams. Did you know that o n each side of the net there are 6 people, but altogether there are 12. Did you know that there are 6 people in one team.


Volley ball teams need this equipment: Uniform and a Volleyball.

RULES/SCORING One rule is that if the ball touches  the net the other team gets a goal.

Olympic Ideas!!

In term 3 our theme is Go For Gold. The teachers chose Go For Gold because it is a Olympics and it is going to be at London. Pt England are trying to Go For Gold. This is some of the sports, pommel horse, discus, weightlifting, volleyball, running, canoeing, boxing, diving and more.

Do you know any athlete that is going to compete in these Olympic games? Well we do. Some of their names are Valerie Vili and Steve Redgrave.
