Letter to Gustav Guttenbeil

              Dear Gustav Guttenbeil,

Hopefully you could get sent back to Tonga for all that’s wrong that the New  Zealand  Government has done.  Malo E lelei my name is Sela.

I was just reading your letter and thinking about how sad your story was. It is quite terrifying to hear that your father had died. I know how it feels when something wrong has happened when you didn’t do it. Also knowing that were interned wrongly was a great mistake. Why did they do that?

I do believe that it was a huge mistake as you were interned. Sooner or later the government should notice that you should be in war. Hopefully the government reads your letter and kindly sends you back to Tonga.

Yours sincerely and faithfully Sela.

WW1 Mascot

In our literacy class one of our tasks were to learn and read about the WW1 mascots. We learnt that the mascots were actually fun to play with. Most mascots went off to war to help soldiers and keep their morale up. Hopefully at the end of this presentation you've learnt something.

Zeal Zone Art

Every Friday our senior students have classes which are called "Zeal Zone" Last week I had the greatest opportunity to be in the art class, with Ms Tito. I had created this piece of art symbol, that I thought would remember our soldiers.

Lest We Forget

Today is a special day to remember. From August 4th 1914 till now. Which marks the 100th Commemoration when the first World War had started. Men and women from around New Zealand had volunteered to Fight with our allies.

Most schools around New Zealand had assemblies to remember  the people who went to Gallipoli to fight for us. Even our principals Grandad went off for world war and came back alive. Today at nine in the morning our school and schools around New Zealand flew their New Zealand flags half way down the pole.
