First Netball Game!

Guess what! On last Thursday night we had a netball game against Cornwall park we tried our best to play against them my position was GS that stands for Goal Shooter. I got 3, 4 or 5 goals in, my family was at the courts to support not just me and our whole team. Cornwall park beat us by 8. We tried hard to play against Cornwall Park, it was our first Netball game. We took lots of photos with Kashya's mum. I am looking forward to having our next Netball Game on Thursday.

Letter for Albany (North Shore)

Dear North Shore Albany,
I would like to say sorry for the horrible tornado that hit you guys I hope that you are safe and calm,keep on trusting. Hope you are all ok and are always going to be safe and calm for the second time , I am also sorry for the tornado that destroyed your homes and destroyed your families houses too.

Rube Goldberg Machine

This is our Rube Goldberg Machine that we spent all day making! Here's a quick snap of what we did, stay tuned for an explanation.Guess what Room 13 made last week on Friday we had made a marble run with dominoes and a toilet roll, the group that I was in and the people that was in my group was : Jordenne, Mary, Thea the groups name is called Sela’s Group and that is me! It was so lovely and fun making our marble run with dominoes and toilet rolls but in the classroom there was so much noise that the dominoes kept on falling ,the Dominoes but used a couple of some marbles and some blocks and we used Thea ‘s little Brothers train track our group, made a couple of mistakes because on the first test it worked me and my friend Jordenne tried hard stacking up all the Dominoes and it was also, hard Sticking the Toilet roll with the sellotape just like a slide I mean the slide right hear in Auckland New Zealand Panmure Swimmarama but our slide doesn’t go all the way around that it just goes right down like a normal slide. This machine was made from Rube Goldberg so we were trying to make our own Marble machine it was so fun that the class was messy with so much straws, toilet rolls ,dominoes and some books block jenga blocks and normal blocks. We had so much fun and had a great time to make the machine.

Straw Bridges

Today in the morning me and my friends and the class room were making straw bridges, if you use triangles for your designing that will make it easy to make it balance, in the group that I was in done a lot of team work and we made lots and lots of cooperation and planning together as a team. We made the straw bridges out of straws . The group that I was in did not get time to finish their bridges. We had worked hard to solve so many problems, when it was time to have a good picture and a good challenge to see which group that can hold more and when we put the block on our straw bridge just had fallen off.

Tornado North Shore Albany

Yesterday there was a huge tornado that hit Albany in North Shore, it happened in the Afternoon. It was a adverse event yesterday, the tornado twisted and kept on moving towards the building, on the pictures I saw a trampoline that had caught by the tornado and the trampoline flied to on top of a roof , It was a massive chaos. The reason why it happened is because of the warm air in the ground and the cold air on top and then the cold air catches the warm air then it catches each other then it goes round and round then it it turns into a tornado. I heard that the tornado had killed 1 person.

The Tornado is so powerful that it had destroyed a lot of building’s, so lucky that it had not killed more than one person. the damage was so so serious that it had flipped car’s over.

Straw Tower

This morning we had started by going into groups and by making a straw tower. We used these materials to make the towers - tape and straws. My friends and I did this activity because we were introducing our new topic for this term.

Me and my friends worked hard making our straw tower, to keep it balanced and stable. Room 13 was challenging each other to see which group could build the biggest one that could balance by it self.

The group that won the biggest straw tower and the that can balance alone, was Jabez and Uili’s group, our group came third place. There was a lot of thinking and planning involved in getting our tower just right.

Holiday Time!!!!

I am so excited that in the holiday that I could not even stop being excited, I hope that you a guys had a awesome holiday. My holiday was
fun I nearly get to sleep all day and go to my cousin’s house and I am so excited that we are starting school. I had a lovely holiday.
